The Secret of the Week Is...

Sometimes shopping for clothes can be overwhelming.  Don't get me wrong, I love it, but does anyone else feel like the predominant style right now is not that attractive?  The Utah bedazzled jeans are a little overdone  and the lace trim tees and tank tops have been around for over half a decade.  I am surprised some places are still selling the really pointy shoes too.  I find myself boutique hopping.  Does anyone else feel this way?

Shoe Dazzle

If you know me, then you know I love shoes!  I love them so much that I spent about 3 years of my life working for them.  Well, not really, but kind of.  I did spend that time working in the fabulous Women's Shoe Department for Nordstrom and I loved it.

After having kids, my shopping time, and wallet, for that matter, drastically reduced.  I would find myself trying to get in and out of stores as soon as possible with the kiddos.  No more long lazy strolls around the shops and window shopping for me.  For now at least.  This little site will personally pick shoes for you, like a personal shopper or stylist would, and then they are mailed directly to your home.  How easy is that?

You can curl, straighten and style with this multi-purpose ceramic flat-iron.  The 1-inch size is the most versatile.  I have had mine for many years and it works just as good as the day I bought it.  I ordered it online and it came with an Iron Pouch, which is great for travel and storage.

Brace yourselves.  This blow-dryer will knock your socks off.  It has some mega power.  You can pay a lot for the fancy ones but I think this one is just as good and is a fraction of the price.  Ionic technology for shine and frizz reduction, ceramic technology, 3 heat settings, Cold shot, powerful quick-dry-time motor and a 4 year warranty, 2 attachments.  Walmart sells these for around $35.

Long Luscious Lashes


My good friend Annya has the most stunning eyelashes ever.  Super full.  Super long.  Super dark.  Super natural.  No mascara needed here ladies.  I just had to ask her.  Are those puppies the real deal? Yes they are real.

What is her secret?  Annya's secret is Latisse.

We have all seen the commercials.  Brooke Shields fluttering her long luscious lashes.  With a time-lapsed camera, you can see the lengthening results right before your eyes.  I know what Latisse claims to do: lengthen and add volume to your lashes.  Typically I am not convinced by alluring advertisements, although I might be tempted.

However, after seeing Annya's striking results, I am sold.  I must try this so-called Latisse for myself!  Who doesn't want to say sayonara to their mascara routine?

Well what about the option of eye-lash extensions?
Although they are somewhat popular these days, eye-lash extensions can sometimes make you look like Snuffalufagus.  They can be pricey and you have to keep them up every few weeks.  I have heard that with time, they can also pull out your real lashes.  Yikes!  So be careful.  Make sure you do your research before you set an appointment. There are many places that offer eye-lash extensions but make sure to use someone who is an experienced and trained professional to get the most realistic results.

Q.  Will it leave your hair straight and flat?
A.  Brazillian blowouts will smooth out your hair, and unlike a straightening treatment, you will have way more control over your hair.  It will de-volumize your hair by taking out all the frizz.  Is that so bad if you have wavey or curly hair?  I dont think so.

Q. After I get the treatment, how do I keep it up?
A.  Just use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner of your choice. It will last up to 4 months people!

Q. How long does the process take?
It takes about 2 hours to put it in and let it heat-set.  After that you wash your hair after 48 hours and enjoy your new luscious locks!
